Video Poker 247
- Gambling Only Allowed in Parts of the State
Many residents have a problem with the way that the state of Maryland
is handling the video poker and gambling problem that it most
obviously has. They say that they pick and choose who they are going
to allow to break the law and who they will hold accountable to the
law.
They point to the recent ban of slots like games that have been
spreading across Southern Maryland, but they have not done anything
about the proliferation of gambling in Baltimore and its surrounding
areas. They claim that the state’s Senate is literally ignoring the
problem as it stands, and does not seem to have a clear cut picture of
where they are going from there.
They say that recent legislation made the slots illegal in St. Mary
County at their bingo parlor, etc. However, not a word was spoken in
regards to the slots and video poker in Baltimore County. The
government points to the fact that the slots and video poker machines
are clearly marked “for amusement only”.
However, any one who has been in there knows that you can get access
to payouts from these video poker machines if you know someone there.
All you have to do is play the game for awhile to get your foot in the
door and the next thing you know you are making money hand over fist.
