Video Poker 247
- Trump Fighting Smoking Ban
Donald Trump is all fired up over the new smoking ban, and many feel
rightfully so. The Atlantic City City Council voted unanimously to
make smoking illegal on the casino floor. To many they might think
that this is what they did previously, but this ban takes it to a
whole new level.
The previous ordinance made it illegal for them to smoke on 75% of the
video poker and gambling floor, which still gave the casinos some
wiggle room. However, the new ban makes it illegal for them to smoke
anywhere but in designated lounges as of October 15th.
Trump says that as a private citizen he hates smoking. However, taking
it away from the casinos puts them at an even greater disadvantage
than they have been in. They are already competing with surrounding
states for their money, and now they are even further behind with the
advent of no smoking allowed.
The ordinance will be voted on in two weeks, and Trump says that all
you have to do is look at the numbers that Atlantic City is currently
pulling in to see the damage that the partial smoking ban has already
done to them. Trump says that the Casino Association needs to file an
immediate lawsuit to stop the ban.
Players in the casinos have already said that they will take their
business elsewhere if this is passed. They say that they won’t be able
to sit at a video poker game, or slot machine, etc. and smoke and that
won’t be enjoyable for them. They say that they will simply go
somewhere that they allow them to smoke.
