Video Poker 247
- Owners Complain About Video Poker Coverage
Last week the Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco
announced that they had busted several video poker establishments,
closing down the businesses in the process. Charlotte County was the
site of the video poker raids and now there are some complaints from
those involved in them.
Blake Zinn, the owner of Coyote’s had a beef about the way that they
had been portrayed by the police and in the media. Zinn says that the
police said that they were running an illegal video poker ring, and
nothing could be further from the truth.
They maintain that they were participating in video poker, but as long
as you play for free it is legal. They say that they were playing for
free and the police are misrepresenting what it was they were doing
there.
The police said that video poker games were being taken and that
illegal poker was being played in a back room. Zinn and others say
that this just was not the case. Even those that played there said
that they would not participate in illegal activities. The only money
that changed hands was for food and drinks, but never for video poker.
