Video Poker 247
- Birthday Video Poker
Trying to imagine that you are turning 104 years old…what would you do
to celebrate this milestone, especially knowing that at this age it
could very well be your last one? Would you spend it with family and
friends? Would you take a cruise or some other exotic vacation? Or
would you hit up the video poker machines and gamble your birthday
away? Well, for Martha Cantelmo it was a little of each.
Cantelmo lives in the Crescent View Nursing Center in Voorhees, New
Jersey, and started out her birthday celebration with a screwdriver
before lunch. She said that she had a sip of one on her 103rd birthday
so she wanted one again. Then she went to dinner with about a dozen
friends and family members at the Wolfgang Puck American Grill at the
Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City.
Then it was off to the casinos and the video poker machines, where for
the lucky 104 year old it meant walking away with more than you came
with. Cantelmo has been a longtime fan of the video poker machines,
and has been coming to the casinos since they opened a little less
than 30 years ago. She says that not only does she love video poker,
but she is lucky at it as well.
No kidding! Cantelmo walked away from one video poker machine with
$1,000 and with $250 from another. Her daughter got her hooked on the
video poker machines and now all she needs is a good book or a video
poker machine to keep her happy.
