Video Poker 247
- Video Poker Dealer Almost Killed By Rattlesnake
This one gets filed under one of the weirdest plots to kill someone –
and it seems that it is linked to video poker. Two Colorado men stand
accused of attempting to kill a man who is a video poker owner, with
of all things – a rattlesnake. Actually, they were going to kill him
with a box of rattlesnakes, by placing him in it and letting them bite
him to death.
Christopher Steelman and Herbert Beck stand accused of plotting to
kill Matthew Sowash – the owner of a video poker company. Steelman
said that he and Beck had talked about killing him with rattlesnakes
and then leaving him on a hiking trail. They believed that the death
would look like an accidental bite, and no one would be the wiser.
However, Steelman says that he was not actually involved in the plot
to kill the video poker business owner – that he thought that Beck was
not serious. He says that as soon as he realized that Beck was
serious, he told Sowash about Beck’s intentions.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation is involved in two ways –
firstly, they were already investigating Sowash’s video poker
business, and secondly when Sowash heard of the plot, he informed the
CBI. Sowash owns Amateur Poker Tours, which is responsible for the
video poker games that are in bars in the Denver area.
Beck was arrested in New Mexico and waived extradition, Steelman is
being held here in jail. Supposedly, Beck also talked of kidnapping
Sowash’s children – all because Sowash allegedly owes him $60,000.
