Video Poker 247 - Jacks or Better Most Popular Video Poker Game

It should come as no surprise to most video poker players that according to a recent survey, most video poker players prefer the game “Jacks or Better” to most other video poker games. The survey said that not only did it come out as most popular video poker game; it was also voted easiest to learn.

In casinos, video poker is not usually the first place people go. Most people either go to the tables or to the slot machines, but if they choose to go to the video poker games it is the Jacks game that they favor. They like video poker games because they are similar to slot machines in that they don’t involve a live dealer and they would rather play on their own than with a table. However, they don’t want to play a slot machine as they want to have some control over the outcome of the game and they want to play with cards.

This is where video poker comes in. “Jacks” gets the top slot in video poker games because of the simplicity of the game. It starts with a minimum payout of a pair of Jacks and then increases from there, so you know that if you have a pair of Jacks or anything better you are a winner. If you want to win, just hold your face cards and aces and you stand a pretty good chance of walking away a winner.

The game pays out with Royal Flush taking top honors, and then goes down from there - Straight Flush, Four of a Kind, Full House, Flush, Straight, Three of a Kind, Two Pair, and of course, Jacks or Better. The sister game to this is Tens or Better, which is the same idea only ending in a pair of tens instead of a pair of Jacks. The odds are pretty good to with a payout of the video poker game of 99.5%.
