- Video Poker Arrests in Harnett County
Harnett County Sheriff’s Office says that they have charged four
people with running illegal video poker machines. The sheriff’s office
joined forces with the State Bureau of Investigation and just after
Thanksgiving they raided the establishments that were known to be
operating the illegal video poker games.
There were thirteen video poker machines seized in the raid that took
place near Dunn – the machines were taken from three different
locations. The sheriff said that they had received various complaints
from residents that there were illegal video poker games being
operated at the locations, and wanted something done about them.
In the case of one of the establishments he was running more than five
video poker machines, which makes it a felony, while the other two
were charged with misdemeanors. Graylon McLamb, 62, was charged with
the felony possession of five video gaming machines and will be held
in Harnett County Jail on $10,000 bond. He will face the court on
January 8th of next year.
Floyd Allen McLamb, 38; Kary Dwayne Pennington, 38; and James Sherrill
Sewell, 28, have all been charged with misdemeanors for possessing
less than five video poker machines each. They will all appear in
district court on January 7th. The sheriff says that they still have
one more suspect to arrest, but as he was out of the country they will
handle it when they come back.
