Video Poker 247
- Video Poker Winnings Must Be Declared
Now is the best time for a book about video poker winnings and how
they relate to the Internal Revenue Service to come out. In fact,
you’d be hard pressed to find a better time for one to hit the
shelves. This is the time of year when video poker players and
gamblers start wondering how much they have to declare, or if they
even have to at all.
The Internal Revenue Service is actually very interested in any
winnings that you have gotten from your video poker games, as they
consider it their business. But there is a new book out there that can
help you figure out what your rights are when it comes to declaring
your video poker winnings.
Jean Scott and Marissa Chien have written a book called “Tax Help for
Gamblers” and it is just what every video poker player needs to read.
The book reads like a conversation between the two women, which makes
it easy to follow and to understand unlike many other texts. Instead
of talking over you, the voice is truly speaking to you.
The book takes you through all of the requirements for filing, how to
treat any comps that you might get, free plays, tournaments, etc.,
basically anything that you will need to know about your video poker
playing. Any kind of information that you might be curious about is in
this book. One thing you can start doing right away is keeping a
journal of your wins and losses, as you will need that for the tax
man!
