Many think it has to do with the popularity of table poker, and it seems that this may be true.

Many like to try their hand at it to see how well they can ultimately do, and some like it to practice before heading out to the big casinos. However, one thing that many do not take into consideration is how different video poker and regular poker are.

Some like video poker because there is no interaction with a dealer, or other people at the table. But some like it because they enjoy the slots and they enjoy poker, and video poker seems like it is the best combination of the two. However, online video poker is becoming just as popular.
