Video Poker 247
- Isn’t Video Poker a Sport?
A recent issue of Men’s Fitness has dubbed Las Vegas as America’s
Fattest City. The issue said that they used more than two dozen
factors in its decision, including legislative health initiatives and
number of parking spaces. It checked to see how long residents spent
in front of the TV, and what kinds of sports they participate in and
for how long.
Funny enough, many residents of Las Vegas were very upset by the
magazine. They felt that they had been treated unfairly and that
Vegans lead a much harder lifestyle than many of the other cities that
made the list as being healthier. They felt that a recount was needed.
However, there were a couple of articles that were particularly
amusing. One said that they were heavier because it is not safe or
smart for them to exercise outside, which would lead to the playing of
sports due to the high temperatures. There was one that blatantly came
out and said that if they “attempted to raise their legs [in an
attempt to exercise] their drinks would undoubtedly spill, not to
mention the funny looks the other video poker and slot machine players
would give them.”
Still my favorite one wanted to know why video poker was not included
on the list of sports. He said that they weren’t being judged fairly
because video poker was a sport and hence if it wasn’t included then
basically Men’s Fitness had not truly done their job in their
evaluations of the cities. Well said, my friend.
