Video Poker 247
- PA Says No To Table Games
The Pennsylvania legislature may have approved slot and video poker
parlors around their state, but they say that they will not be
approving any kind of table games to add to them. They say that by
only allowing the slots and video poker, they are keeping the amount
of money that people can lose to a lesser amount. They say that with
table games, there can be much higher losses, and thus they don’t feel
that it is in their residents’ best interests.
The opposition was pleased with the decision, as they felt that
bringing in slots and video poker was more than enough already. They
wanted to ensure that the amount of temptation in the state would be
limited for those that have a gambling addiction. The slots and video
poker parlors are going to be large establishments with large amounts
of money going into them, which makes many wonder why they would spend
that much money if they aren’t getting their table games?
It seems that although they wanted table games, they are completely
confident that the amount of money that they will be bringing in for
the slots is more than enough to pay for their locations alone. So why
the big problem with table games? If they are going to be losing large
amounts anyway, shouldn’t they at least have a fighting chance at
getting some of it back?
Supporters of the games say yes. They say that by only allowing the
slots, they are putting the casinos at an unfair advantage. They
disagree with the ruling as they say the skill based games will at
least allow gamblers to win some of their money back if they try,
instead of leaving it solely up to luck. They say at least video poker
enables them to have a chance, but table games would be much more
fair.
