Video Poker 247
- Video Gamers Could Be Video Poker Players Before Long
The gambling industry is always looking for ways to grab those players
that have not yet tried out video poker or slot machines, and now they
think that they have finally done it. They say that they may have been
looking over something that was under their nose the whole time.
Video gamers. Those that play video games online or after school could
be the next generation of video poker or slot machine players, and
manufactures have decided that this is who they should be targeting
now. The video poker games and slot machines would be more like video
games instead of casino games.
They might make noises like arcade games, or even flippers such as for
pinball. The video poker and gambling industry has realized that they
need to get on the ball or they are going to lose their precious edge
over the competition who is probably already thinking up how to tap
into the market.
Mark Clayton, a member of the Gaming Control Board, says that he is
“dumbfounded” that no one has done that yet. He says that because of
the complexity of the video games these players might excel at video
poker, etc. because of their “training” on video games.
Cyberview is one company who has already started to develop games that
will entertain both groups, and they say that they are “going to bring
a new audience to the casino floor.” They are planning on working the
next 12 months testing the devices before releasing them to the
general public.
