Video Poker 247
- Bar Owner Needs Video Poker
The Round House’s owner, Paul Scanlan, has been trying various ways to
keep his bar up and running. His latest attempt has been to try and
add nude dancing to the bar, turning it into a “gentleman’s club.”
However, you can imaging how this has gone over with the community
where his bar is located.
However, Scanlan says that if he doesn’t change the way he does
business, he is going to lose his bar. He says that local police have
targeted his bar with their drunken driving laws and have driven away
business there.
But Scanlan does not point out that he lost his video poker and gaming
license last year when the Oregon Lottery Commission took it away from
him. He was fined for serving liquor to a minor, and thus ended up
with negative reviews from the police – leading to the loss of his
license.
The Lottery wasted no time in removing his license to operate the
video poker games, citing the fact that he did not have a good
relationship with the “police chiefs of Carlton and Yamhill.” They say
that they had to take his video poker license for that reason, plus a
host of others. He has several different offenses pending against him
relating to the way food service was handled and the underage
drinking.
They also cited health code violations – and felt the video poker
license must be revoked.
