Video Poker 247
- Hammond Opens Another One
The city of Hammond has opened yet another video bingo parlor
according to the owner of the new Bingo Alley. There was a quiet
opening of the club this week, and the owner says that he is planning
a much larger more advertised one in the future.
They say that people really enjoy the video bingo games because they
are so much like playing video poker. Video Poker has the same method
of playing in that you put in coins to play the games.
But video poker is controlled under the laws, while video bingo comes
under a separate set of rules because of the fact that they are used
by charities. Bingo Alley will be serving several different charities
from the proceeds from the games.
They already have the Hammond Fraternal Order of Police, the Hammond
High School Football Boosters, Hammond Strawberry Fields, kappa Alpha
Fraternity Alumni Association, and the Louisiana Bowling Association.
The Hammond Association of Firefighters is signed up but will not be
using them until they finish their training through the state’s office
of Charitable Gaming.
Some residents are concerned about the effect of the video bingo games
on children as they are so very similar to video poker. However, the
bingo hall says that the bowling alley that they are attached to is on
the lookout for kids as are they – and they are in a separate room
where kids won’t be able to see them.
