Video Poker 247
- Laundromat Video Poker
Waley Ming Wei Lee, 46, was arrested for having illegal video poker
machines at his place of business. Lee is the owner of Tres Amigo
Lavaderia and according to police he was running an illegal video
poker ring.
Lee is accused of running illegal video poker machines out of his
Laundromat and paying his customers cash for their winnings. According
to police this is the first arrest for video poker machines in many
years. They have had very little problems with people running the
illegal video poker machines since the law was passed prohibiting
them.
Lee has been charged with commercial gambling and pirating compact
discs. He was arrested by the Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics
Squad, and their commander Scott Ware said that they had been
investigating him for months.
They had received a complaint from someone saying that he had illegal
video poker machines, and that he had made cash payouts to undercover
police officers while playing the illegal machines. They had cashed in
winning tickets in the amounts of $45, $40, an $25.
In addition to the illegal video poker machines, during the raid
police also found more than 400 pirated compact discs and 29 pirated
DVD movies for sale.
