Video Poker 247
- Idaho Has Potential Video Poker Issues
South Idaho sheriffs are investigating reports of video poker machines
and the detrimental effect they are having on residents. Video poker
is legal in the state, but if it is causing people to have real issues
then the state, or at least those counties affected by it, may need to
take a look at the games.
Twin Falls County Sheriff Wayne Tousley says that he wasn’t ever
planning on taking on video poker, but after receiving complaints
about the machines he felt he needed to start investigating what was
going on. They are now checking out several businesses that have
gambling in both Twin Falls and Jerome Counties.
The reports were coming in from wives who were complaining about the
video poker games. They said that their husbands were coming in
smelling like alcohol and were losing all of their money in the video
poker machines.
They say that their husbands are spending food money on video poker
instead of feeding their families. Supposedly, Tousley said that he
couldn’t in good conscience allow video poker to have this kind of
effect on his residents without investigating to see if something
needed to be done about the video poker machines.
