Video Poker 247
- Online Video Poker Never Stops
Poker has had a tough year of it, especially online video poker and
online poker. With the passing of the Unlawful Internet Gambling
Enforcement Act (UIGEA), a large number of online poker companies
immediately pulled their online video poker and poker tables off of
the internet and looked to place them somewhere else.
Then there were the other big names in poker that took their time in
pulling out, and then eventually left as well. After that there were
the NETellers, etc. that stop serving US customers so even if you
could find a decent online video poker game you couldn’t play it
anyway because no one would take your money.
Right after that, you had the government seizing funds at those that
had originally taken your money and tying it up for months – and then
finally releasing it. Then there were scandals after scandals, after
scandals involving cheating and multi-accounting, and then Absolute
Poker having their own little scandal.
But online video poker and online poker continue to soldier on. There
are still sites set up to take US residents, and they are quick to
point out the places that will take your money. Many people have given
up on video poker thinking that if they want to play they are going to
have to go to a casino to do so. Not so, say experts. There are still
plenty of places that you can log onto to play the games for free or
for real money.
In fact, depending on who you talk to, online video poker is actually
doing excellently. They are a thriving industry, and many think that
it is simply a matter of time before they are legal once again.
