Video Poker 247
- Video Poker Expansion Not Wanted
The NSW Government is looking to expand their existing video poker
games by allowing Keno as well to be played in pubs. .They say that
they will be able to increase the $4 billion a year they are currently
getting from the video poker games by adding more games and different
kinds.
Residents say absolutely not, that they feel that the video poker
games are a blight on their society and that they should be removing
games not adding to them. The South Sydney Leagues Club is among those
that are against the video poker games and any kind of expansion, and
are in the process of removing all of their games.
Even though the club will lose roughly $7 million in video poker
revenue, they say that it is more important to protect their community
from the games as they are nothing but bad news. They say that their
community has said that they don’t want the video poker games there,
so they are taking out all of theirs in a show of support.
A recent survey showed that 84% of the community wants the video poker
games removed from Victoria and from the country in general. They say
that the video poker games offer nothing but heartbreak and grief, and
that many of society’s social ills stem from those that are addicted
to them. They do not want to see that added to.
